Timeless Food introduced our Organic Black Beluga® Lentil in 1994. It was originally named by one of our favorite customers for its resemblance to caviar, and indeed has caught the attention of chefs the world over.
This black beauty is rich in flavor and deeply satisfying, and has the highest protein of any lentil we’ve found. This little jewel is a great choice for dramatic side dishes, pilafs, and as a bed for fish.
The Organic Black Beluga® Lentils cook in about 20 minutes at a simmer.
